Stabbing Us with Knives

Yesterday you were mine-
everything was so right-
Now I am all alone-
I won't be sleeping tonight!
I wish I could go back-
to the time of perfect smiles-
when we were both very happy-
and we didn't have all these trials!
We embraced each other so freely-
everything was perfectly okay-
but now we are both miserable-
I hate this world today!
Why can't I just have you back?
Why can't they just let us be?
Why won't they let us be together?
Let us both fly free!
Let us be what we are meant to be-
let us live our own lives-
let us be happy and leave us alone-
and stop stabbing us with knives!!!
