Burning

by Lark   Apr 21, 2005

It's getting hard to breathe. I don't know where to turn. My head is getting heavy, my knees are getting weak. There is to much heat around me. The burns are getting deep.

The smoke and flames are around me, as I lie here on the floor. My mom, dad, and brother aren't even home! The house is up in flames and i am left here all alone.

I wonder if I'll survive, or if i was meant to die. I am to weak to breathe, my eyes are closed, my heart in no longer beating, and I am burnt all over.

My family's home. They know I'm in the house. They call 911, the trucks are on their way. They're outside in tears and I'm up in flames.

They arrive soon enough. They rush into my room, find me on the floor. Pick me up and rush with me in their arms out of the house. I am rushed to the hospital. I just lie their in the room. My parents are praying I'll live.

But when the Doctor come out and tells my parents my lungs are full of smoke and I have a great chance of dieing. They come into the room and start talking to me. I slowing wake up, my heart is beating faster, I gasp for air and my eyes open to see my family and friends right their!

The doctors come rushing into the room, they know I'll survive. A year later the burns are still here and I'm alive! I am stronger then I thought. It wasn't my time to go. I am here and happy, and a thirteen years old!
