A Perfect Poem

by Pianist   Apr 21, 2005

A perfect poem is never judged, for
Perfect is to be.
Everlasting, never trudged,
Ridiculed, but free.
Falls and rises, steady, sweet,
Equal to and fro.
Calls out loud to praise defeat, and
Turn to flawless flow.
Past the words, if you look deep,
Open to the blind.
Every perfect poem might sleep,
Mostly in your mind.

-Truth be told, there's no such thing as "A Perfect Poem." The only perfect poem that exists, is the one that is stuck in your mind.

You're very tricky!! I didn't even notice the acrostic...are you sure you're only 15?? Your poems are deep and you seem very mature...wise beyond your years. But nonetheless, this poem, as well as the others I've read, is excellent! I'm impressed...keep it up.

:) i liked the concept behind this poem. "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" it's very true. that fact alone will be staying in my mind for a while.
