Oceans Deep

by Pianist   Apr 21, 2005

Oceans deep inside the mind,
Find the creature in the dark,
Let the truth in you unwind.

Inner demons leave their mark,
Severed soul, left far away.
Find the creatures in the dark.

Bow your head and humbly pray.
Show your adversary's heart,
Severed soul, left far away.

Bitterness and scorn impart.
Choke the shadow of your bane,
Show your adversary's heart.

Free the afterlife insane.
Breach the sea of envy and,
Choke the shadow of your bane.

Sift the lies away from sand,
Oceans deep inside the mind.
Breach the sea of envy and,
Let the truth in you unwind.

Tight poem, I liked this one a lot. You use lots of excellent imagery and words that aren't typical (if you know what I mean). Nice write 5/5

Obviously everyone has different opinions towards ones writing such as yours.

Mine just happens to be completely different from the previous comment made above by 'Kevin Murray'.

I thought this poem was absolutley amazing. It was very descriptive, and your wide vocabulary sent it to another demension.

To be completely honest, I think I might even envy you. You did a fantastic job, and I really enjoy your style.

    welcome to my favorites list.
    5/5.
