Daddy

Daddy, why'd you go?
why'd you have to die?
Now I'm all alone
I sit at home and cry.
Mommy says that you'll be back
in Heaven or in Hell.
Doesn't matter where you are
I'll be with you soon,
that I can tell.
My life is bare
without my dad.
It hurts when i talk about you.
So when other kids talk
I just disappear because the truth is too much to go through.
You see what happened before i was born
is you had fun one night.
and when mom told you about me
there was a great big fight.
You couldn't be a dad
or so that's what I'm told.
Because you went and shot yourself before i was a second old.
It breaks my heart when I think about you
so when I die I know what I'll do.
I'll look for a man just like me
and happy ever after is how we shall be.

~this poem is very special to me. I wrote it because one night i had a dream about my dad and i had an urge to write. This is the result. I really hope you can comment on it because its totally true so thank you so much~
