Southern Girl

by Ann Stareyes   Apr 23, 2005

I'm just a ole Southern Girl,
Born and raised,
Living in North Carolina,
Where I'll always stay.

A country girl I am,
And I'll always be,
Just living and loving life,
The way it's meant to be.

I cherish my roots,
And where I came from,
A Southern Girl at heart,
I'm truly where I belong.

My sister hunbun830 would love this poem...I have to remember to show her. Before she ran down here with my brother she was living in North Carolina. She likes it here in Florida but boy does she miss the South.....I can tell even without talking about it. Especially Grandma's cooking...lol I'm sure you know something about that too....I love this poem!! 5/5 ann
