Changes Redundant

by JustAFoolInLove   Apr 25, 2005

Cover to cover
You know my whole story,
You know me from
My birth to my fate,
You, my guardian
Good health, please maintain,
You could have prevented
So much of my pain
If only I had told you what to do

My story is
A work-in-progress;
Ever changing
It’s never done.
The day I die
Will mark the end
But until the time
I choose my death,
My story will be forever edited

Over and over
I slip out of my skin
To writhe in agony
At the sting of hopeless air
Upon my bloody flesh
I slip on a new face
To fool you again
To laugh in your face
Until my chest
Burns with my anachronistic heart

Consumed by my own
Black, gothic flame
From within me somewhere
That crackles as
It mangles flesh
In its twisted, flaming grip

Total darkness
Born from the purest light
Is the only way
To describe my drastic
Change not only
In appearance, but in number of scars
And memories that haunt

Maybe its just the time in the morning, but i'm so lost. Confused.
But my A.D.D. self would like to mention that you do have some colorful, big words in there. :o)
