Connected?

by Nobrainy_duh   Apr 26, 2005

Feeling lonely as the night goes on,
I go on-line to find companionship,
But I only find out just how,
Much we are all so far apart,

We see each other in person,
Day after monotonous day,
But do we really learn the lesson,
Of what goes on in a person's brain,

Are they lonely too,
Or are they content or angry,
At the people they see as pools,
Overflowing with all they hate?

With the Internet and phone,
The world becomes more connected,
But we still are more alone,
Than ever before in history,

I liked this one. I feel that way a lot. People see me at school and think I'm sad and/or depressed but really I'm happy and excited, I just don’t show it. I hate talking to people on the phone but I have to say I favor talking online.

That is so true. I think everyone always wants to know what is going on in another persons mind. Even if you are right in front of that person sometimes you can never understand what someone is thinking.
