For my friend.

Although i cannot see you,
My Angel, i am always here,
To guide you through the darkness,
And in times of angst and despair.

Although i cannot hug you,
On my shoulder there is a place,
To comfort you in sadness,
And wipe the tears from your face.

Although i cannot call you,
Or go shopping at the mall,
I will be here to save you,
From even the slightest fall.

Although it's hard to carry on,
I will offer you my hand,
To pick you off the ground,
And be the post that helps you stand.

Although sometimes I'm away,
And i cannot calm you down,
In my heart i will reach you,
To turn around that frown.

Don't forget our friendship,
And the love i have for you,
Remember to keep smiling, Angel,
Because i will get you through.
