The Winner Takes It All.

by ElegantlyWasted   Apr 1, 2006

A cliche is all I ever was,
With my fake smile and rhythmic way
So over a year ago i fled this,
And here I am again today ...

To live out one last memory,
And finish what i began to start,
I've come to close and end this,
Put to rest this chapter of my heart.

My life was dirty and worthless,
I was down and out for good,
On the verge of throwing it away,
I mustered up all the courage I could.

I gave the people what they wanted,
Parting gifts and forgiveness of sin,
I tactfully left you hanging,
Out on an unsuspecting limb.

For now my days are numbered,
I'm resigning and walking away,
Not because I'm giving up,
But it's far better off this way.

I'll leave the pen with a drop of magic,
And my boots right at the door,
My life now has a meaning,
Those old poems don't .. Anymore.

=) I'm not deleting any of my old poems - It's a sad reminder of how pathetic my life was. But now I'm afraid it's time i left it behind. I've got more traveling to do, more of my life to fulfill. Poems & Quotes was a big part of my life just like a lot of people on here too. I'll drop in, once in a while.

I wanted to wrap it up. And put a nice big,

THE END.

to my story and time on p&q.

That melancholy, that shade of sorrow that comes with mediocrity is the worst. Being bad is not bad not being good is .I bid you adieu and hope you find your life.
