I watched with care

by marc   Apr 30, 2005

I would sit here and listen, as your eyes would glisten. They would glisten from the tears that were being formed from all the fear. fear of rejection, and fear of the realization that it was true.

He cheated on you, and acted like a fool when you asked him "why?" He screamed and gripped and made you cry, when he told you that it was all a Ly.

I was there to watch over you with care, to see if he would dare. If he would dare to sit there and glare up to the point that he would snap. Snap and pop, and never stop until you were dead.

But now I dread about all that you said because it was a set-up. You set me up to fall, and didn't care at all how much I cared for you. I sat there and watched with care for all the feelings I had could not be expressed, even with one last breath.
