Work and Family

by Calley   May 1, 2005

There is a thing called Family
There is a thing called Work
But work and family don’t mix
But you will have to learn.

I know you love me true
But sometimes it doesn’t seem
It seems like you love work
More than you love me.

I know that’s not the case
But you are never around
If you were around more often
Our love can still be found.

I know I’m only your daughter
But that isn’t always true
We could be best of friends
If you let me through.

There is a thing called Family
There is a thing called Work
But work and family CAN mix
But WE will have to learn

*this is written about my mum and dad because they are always at work.
It might not be the best poem but it is my first*
