Imagine

by Megan   May 3, 2005

Feel the mist on your face
As you glide to a new place
Feel the gumdrops on your tongue
As you savor every last taste

Get lost in the chocolate swirls
While you engulf the sweet tar pearls
See the ice cream at a glance
And get lost within their hypnotic trance

Touch the gooey marshmallows
And listen to the lost-lasting music from cellos
Receive the mint-tasting letter
While knowing nothing could be any better

Laugh with the little tootsie rolls
Dip yourself in the caramel holes
Feel the stickiness from the licorice sticks
And guess just how many tootsie pop licks

You can find this place in your dreams
Beneath the winding streams
You can follow the yellow brick road
And if you get lost just ask the queen toad

This place is for everyone
Oh and not just anyone
It’s for those who imagine
Of this place of imagine

A great fantasy for many children. I am not fond of candy myself, though I constantly shove sugar down my throat. Anyway, read some of my work if you get the time.
