Something Missing

I have been given a life that I live
So alone
Where my closest friend is myself,
I'm on my own
And theres something I feel,
Something inside my soul
Like theres something missing,
An empty space or hole
Because the thing that once made
Me happy has been taken
But what is it that has left me
So shaken
I need to know because I can't
Help but wonder
The thought wakes me from even
The deepest slumber
And now I realize what I didn't see
Before, but now I do
That the only one who can fill the
Empty space is you
And I know that won't happen but
That doesn't matter
Because I remember what happened the
First time, when I watched my world shatter.
