Daddy's Career

by Renee   May 5, 2005

Where is my home?
I may never know,
theres to many too count
I've been around the world,
I still don't see how
moving around every few years
will ease my fears
that some day
they may take you away
not that I wouldn't mind
but I want that choice to be mine
not the president's
not your boss
if it costs your life
than this cause must be worth fighting for
but I've only heard lies
why haven't they caught Osama?
isn't he the reason we changed our lives?
yet you continue to live in this daily fib
a guilty conscious with a thin mask of innocence
your career penetrates on your kid
working in a bullshit business
where all you do is listen
take orders,
sending innocents to prison
and when they day ends
you wiped your hands of the red stains
not considered a murderer
but that gun in your holster
has killed to many to name.
