He's Not Comming Home

by Shelby G.   May 6, 2005

Sometime past midnight
I'm sitting up right
Staring out my window

It's raining like crazy
But my mind is hazey
Flooded with bad thoughts, and questions

Tears stream from my eyes
And drip of my cheeks
My stomachs in knots
I feel broken and weak

The picture is fading
I am still waiting
For you to kiss my goodnight

I'm here alone
All on my own
Because you know mommy isn't here anymore

Suddenly the phone rings
The words I hear make me still as stone
I think I'm done waiting
Because daddy's not comming home
