Water*~Facing fear~*

by trixy17   May 7, 2005

I ran and ran. Far away
I want to face it another day
I don’t have time to cry those tears
Way to busy to confront my fears

I run faster. You’re catching me now
I feel something on my cheek. A drop comes down my brow
Then the rain comes harder. Lashing down on me
It’s so heavy. I can barely see

Then you catch up. I scream at you to go away
Ignoring my protests you decide to stay
I stare at the ground. Feeling forlorn
I start to see my reflection, as the puddles form

I take a deep breath and turn around
Face my fear. Look up from the ground.
There is no one there only I and the rain
No one to watch me express all my pain!

Rain dropped from the sky
Tears fell from my eyes
At one with the water
So pain it could slaughter

Tears flowed down my cheeks. I let out my cries
Forgetting the criminal, the theft and the lies.
The water washed over me, relieving all strife
Returning the normal back to my life.

Drowning in freedom
Say goodbye to pain
It’s time to begin life over again!
