Life's Current

by I am Michelle   May 9, 2005

Sometimes you feel lost,
Like life swept you up,
And is slowly drowning you in its current
And all you want to do,
Is reach the surface
And take control of things again
You wonder why
So many bad things happen
To you
And why no body else
But in reality other people
Go through this stage
They think about killing themselves
They do things intentionally to themselves
Then some people slowly let the current
Over power them
They start doing drugs
And they stop worrying about school
They start losing focus
And they drown all their sorrys
In alcohol.
They buy a gun
And every night
As they lay semiconscious on their beds
Wondering if it’s their time to go
Or if they could handle
One more day
Then finally the person who loves them most
Walks in on them
As blood drops from there head
And forms a little puddle on the carpet.
They scream out in horror
And automatically start blaming themselves.
They wonder what would have happened
If they had just said
“ I love you,” more often
But the person you lays still in their coffin
Never took the chance to seek out
Those that really do love them
For a help
So don’t let yourself get swept up
In that awful current
Seek out help before you
Start doing something your going to regret
Because I bet it will make you feel
So much better knowing
There is someone always there for you.
Because you know that I will
Always be there for you
When ever you need me!
