Graduation

by Amy   May 11, 2005

The time has finally come
For us to leave this place
We’ll walk down that solemn line
And join that amazing race

It feels like our lives will end
As we step out that door
But I guess it really won’t
We're just changing forever more

Unshed tears cloud my eyes
As I imagine that day
When I have to leave forever
Where my heart wishes to stay

I'll never forget those fun times
Chillin' in the gym freshman year
Talking of the future and guys
Hoping those dreams would appear

I remember the times we played “Hacky Sack”
And we laughed until it hurt
You guys just watched me be a nut
As I flailed my body and fell in the dirt

We've been here for each other
Through heartbreaks and pain
Holding each other up
Keeping each other sane

I've grown along with you all
Through the sorrows and smiles
I wouldn't change a single thing
It has all been worth my while
