Mortality

by Amilo   May 11, 2005

I haven't been really flowing with inspiration juices these weeks.. this is merely a result of some scrap ideas and emotions pasted together.

-Mortality-

why do you not cry, Angel?
has your role as the guardian of the heavens
cursed you with vanity and pride?

hidden you choose to stay
with the comforts of satin-spun clouds and sweet melodies
do you not hear the haunting funeral bell?

tolling
endlessly resounding
in our lonely hearts
has your pity for us turned cold with ignorance?

for you do not mourn
for the passing away of a mere mortal
unknown to you,

we are all unknown to you.
