Silver Silence

I am too lost…
Now I find myself in patterns once the same
They fill my past…
And I see them weaving in amongst my pain

Tears are falling…
As I’m swept by thoughts residing in my eyes
I blank my stare…
And I hold my vision, I’m seeing through your lies

This night is still…
I swallow my screams like I am supposed to do
Tears blind my view…
And I know that whilst I cry, you’ll think of you

I’m choking dreams…
As I savour the taste of those that won’t come true
My lungs are filled…
With dusty hopes resounding all from you

Chained in despair…
Lately I search for words that I know were never there
My presence stirs…
Your doubt has come and stripped me; I am bare

Confusion’s all I find…
As I see my dreams and doubts now juxtaposed

This pain has left my patchwork core exposed

Tears fill my eyes…
I’m so lost and I don’t know where I should go
I can’t find my hope…
And until then, I sit in silver silence, watching these tears flow...
