My heart is twisted
My eyes are blind
Except for the one patch of light
Glistening before me
You were always there to guide my hand
The hidden meaning for my actions
You taught me truth and honesty
The giver of hope in darkened times
A conscience that never failed
The shimmering sun to lead me
I thank you every single day
For all you did for me
But now our arms must come unlocked
We must walk our separate ways
But a friendship holds us till
