God's Love

You come home one day, and you see you have a decision to make. It is the hardest choice you’d even have to take. There is your child tied to a chair. But look! A note to beware!

“A bomb will explode, but your child will be spared. However, is your son’s life worth a hundred compared? If you try to spare the child, hundreds will die, but for them to be saved would take your sons life.

This choice has made you panic-stricken. Hundreds of lives rely on your decision! Knowing your child must die, you begin to close your eyes. Trying to forget what you decide.

Now you can imagine how God feels about Jesus Christ. Having to see him lose his life.

Is it any wonder why after his death, the earth quaked, the sky darkened and the curtain split apart? It was a reflection of God’s anger and the grief in his heart.

But, why? Why the great sacrifice? For the first time in eons, Jesus ceased to exist, Jesus Christ lost his life. God did it to save us. And it took the life of his son Jesus.

This is the ultimate sacrifice of love. The life of Jesus proves that God is love. “He loved the world so much, he gave his only-begotten son.”
