When I'm Mad

When I'm mad
I take it out on him
I don't mean to upset him
But I do before I realize what I'm doin.

When I'm mad
He tries to pick at me
But I snap when I don't mean to
This I wish he could see

I act stubborn
And I won't give in
I'd rather keep it going
Than to talk to him

I know I'm wrong
But I can't help it
He says smart things
And I have a fit

I try not to drop my guard
Cuz that's what broke my heart
I try to stay tough
To keep us from drifting apart

In a way
I know that causes trouble
And the pain in my heart
Is sometimes double

I just want to say sorry
And I don't mean to hurt him
But I do
And I know our love it dims!!
