Flowers of my Life

by Christopher Liau   May 16, 2005

The red rose shows its passion,
The love and care it adorns,
Each rose that blooms has beauty,
Yet will pierce you with its thorns.

No matter how much love is given,
Regardless of the care that’s used,
The rose is always waiting,
For your trust will be abused.

The lily shows its friendship,
The love and care it will convey,
Each lily that blooms has beauty,
Yet holds no passion in its display.

No matter how much love is given,
Regardless of the care that’s used,
The lily will always be your friend,
Yet never love and passion true.

My love for you is a lotus flower,
Conceived in mud and strife,
Each bloom has overwhelming beauty,
And I will hold it for my life.

No matter how much Love I give,
Regardless of the care I use,
The lotus that I carry now,
Will always be for you.
