The Beach of Pain

by Regina Mae   May 16, 2005

As I walk along the shore,
Memories of you and me I recall once more.
With a lonely heart, I sit by the sand,
Jealous of the couple walking hand in hand.

As far as I could, I threw a pebble away,
Heal my broken heart, that's what I pray.
Then God answered my lowly plea,
Sending a cool breeze to comfort me.

The waves lapped gently at my toes,
Washing away all my hurts and woes.
Watching the water so clear and blue,
Giving me peace of mind and hope anew.

As the sunset says goodbye,
Over you, this would be my last cry.
I'll ask the waves to take away the pain,
Tomorrow, I'll be stronger after the rain.
