The Man I Once Knew

by Regina Mae   May 19, 2005

I miss the life that we once had,
it felt so good and all were glad.
people around got so jealous,
happy faces were so obvious.

everyone thought that we're happy and gay,
but all were astonished one day.
to our family you brought shame,
you were never the same.

together with your mistress,
you brought all the pain and distress.
heartaches you gave to your children,
suffering this heavy burden.

still depending on your pride,
this problem grew so wide.
many innocent people got involved,
now it can't hardly be resolved.

to the court you must now flee,
defend yourself with an attorney.
prove to them this is a lie,
i know you'll lose and surely will cry.

if only you would harden not your heart,
we could have a brand new start.
but it seems as if you no longer care,
i guess that's the pain you have to bear.

before you leave and go astray,
to you, these few words i have to say...
i miss the man i once knew,
my pal, my friend, my father... YOU!

My dad had cheated on my mom, and now he's a pastor, God's totally changed both of my parents and they've been happily married for 21 years now... If you ever wanna talk, im here for ya! *KISSES*~Corrie
