Break Me

by Eden   May 16, 2005

"Suffer unto me..."
Break me.
Never haveI wanted more
Than just to ache with pain.
"I will never forsake you..."
Break me.
Away from the blinding light.
Never have I wanted more.

Possession to battered puppet.
This is what I am with you.
Break me the way you break humanity
Just a whim of your untouchable thought.

I was yours and now I've been taken.
My soul was bought because of your desire.
Not happy, yet so secure within archaic darkness.
I am no longer yours to debase.

God of Light and Love and Chance,
You disgrace the grounds of my heart.
Cause nimble thorns to thrice awaken
In my soul adorned with charred ivy.

Break me.
The way you break humanity.
The way you cause us to think less of ourselves for your own valor.
What is more...
To follow without seeing?
Or to stray because you do see?
I'm trying to stay calm because I know the truth of your presence.
Your overwhelming stench is riddled with false truths
And I can no longer stand you looking over me.
My skin is caving in onto my soul,
And my heart and mind is reaching out for freedom.
You collapse your religious believers onto my plans
But I only want to spread the truth of life.

Break me...
Break me...
Release me...
Break.
Time for you to go.
