Fading Self

***This is a dream I have had twice now. I find it rather interesting, and thought that some of you might like it as well...so here it is. Sorry it is a bit long.***
----------------------------------------

I am kneeling down upon invisible water...ripples undulate from my relaxed temple. For my body is my temple. My skin is perfect; there are no scars to be seen on my cream flesh.
I sit naked, for there is no one around. I am not ashamed. My hair out of my face, but hanging over so; my eyes are closed, and my lips have yet to move.
The sky is blue; there are some clouds in the sky. The day is bright, even though the sun itself is of pitch light. This sun is the zenith of my soul. Do not touch me.

My hands start to tremble. I feel the presence of a dark shadow, but I see none. I am still alone...
But then my lips move shakily. Unheard words flow silently into the light breeze...a different language. One that I should not know. What is happening? The enchanting prayers are beautiful to my mind. I understand the feling invoked by their evanescent power.

The sky moves, but the sun stays still. Like paper, only liquid it is poured onto the back of my neck. It seeps into my skin, burning me. Like acid it eats right through my body, making a hollow void within.

It hurts, but I welcome to the pain. The pain is beautiful...and I know that it must come to be. When the sky is finished, I see smoke rise from the edges of my raw wound. Still, my head does not move, and my lips utter strange and elegant words. I do not understand. Something is happening within me...what?...

A...golden key rises out of the hole in my neck. It rotates slowly in the air and something grabs it. I cannot see the being that took hold of it. My lips are still chanting.
The key hovers for a second or two and moves before me in front of my breasts.

Deliberately, it is placed on my chest, where it is absorbed into my liquid, fair skin...like quicksand. Searing pain spreads throughout my body. My arm shoots out and my fingers curl.

My head snaps up and my mouth stops saying words and opens into a silent scream. My teeth are clenched tight and my eyes are still shut. A violent wind picks up my hair and blows it around wildly.

A restrained scream in the form of a shrill growl escapes my throat. I want this to happen. It must.
The key is inside me. My eyes snap open. No more are they an ice blue...
Now they are pitch black...but at the same time they are a cold gray with horizontal black slits for pupils.

Someone tell me what this means!
Then a raspy voice from an invisible demon haunts my ears...

"You are the key..."

My mood changes into a serious tone.
"Yes...I am. I welcome you."
