Dusty Roads

by Navy Blue Heart   May 17, 2005

Walking to who knows where
Feet are growing sore
But stopping ain't an option
Can't turn back no more.

Started on a journey
They said I'd never make
But now I'm moving onward
They'll realize their mistake.

Dusty roads to hopeless dreams
Dreams I have to live.
So many things to hope for,
So much there is to give.

Shadowed woods of then and there
Clouding up my mind
But now I'm moving forward
Tomorrow's gonna shine.

Breaking the barrier
Forcing myself through
Couldn't breathe for staying still
Knew what I had to do.

Heart moving spirit on
Head suffocated by thought
Eyes are bright with hopes and fears
Forget what I've been taught.

Dusty roads to hopeless dreams
Dreams I have to live.
So many things to hope for,
So much there is to give.

Shadowed woods of then and there
Clouding up my mind
But now I'm moving forward
Tomorrow's gonna shine.

heehee thanks lu! :) nowhere near as good as any of yours and DON'T deny it! :p anyway! I was thinking, this one and the poem She I originally wrote as songs which is why they have a repeated verse in them! You and Jenny can have them for your band if you want! I can't think of a tune for them so they're no good to me!
