Washing over me

by Dead As Yesterday   May 19, 2005

You came on like a wave washing over me
Sunlight dancing down so meticulously
The depth of my feeling and how much I care
Came so quickly it’s frightening but beyond compare

Sunlight seeps through a deep crack in the sky
Mending my broken heart in a blink of an eye
The rain has stopped falling and I’m feeling so fine
I love you to death with my heart and my mind

I hope I give back all the things you give me
Peaches and cream now girl you got to believe
Opening up myself it leaves me feeling so scared
To loose you would be more than my heart could bear

The time we spend together is something I don’t regret
And falling in love with you I’ll never forget
The sun and the stars they all twinkle your name
I though I’d felt love before but this ain’t the same

My blood runs rushing hot through to my soul
You’ve touched places I never thought I’d know
Time has a way of taking time and the end is ours to see
I’m such a lucky man to have someone so special loving me
