The storm

On the way home one stormy night.
He had held her close for he has just proposed. She was scared of the thunder and lightening.

He had swerved and has missed a few branches. She was worried that something would happen. The rain was so hard you could not see nothing.

Halfway home, they are almost safe. When a huge branch fell and landed near his face. She woke up all bloody and sore. Her man had covered her from the harm.

She grabbed her cell and called 911. She was OK, just a few bumps and bruises. For he was near dead and started to loose it.

She told him she loved him, and he said it back His heart was now slowing he was almost gone. The glass in his face, made him look like a mess. Hardly recognizable at first glance.

She held him close as he breathe his last breath. For she would never be the same after the wreck. She still cries every night in hopes he would return. Even after the funeral all she did was mourn.

It\'s been 6 months now she has not moved on. She is 7 months pregnant with his son. She will name him after him And one day tell him about this day. That his dad was a hero who risked his life, to save him and his mom but costed it, his own.
