Rivers of blood

My heart it hurts,
It’s broken and it cries.
It doesn’t cry tears,
Only rivers of blood!

The river runs deep,
Starting to flood!
Trying to swim for air,
I can’t breath!

The Blood is running higher,
I’m starting to drown.
I can’t reach the top,
It seems far.

Why must I suffer?
Why does it have to be like this?
Why do I have to feel the sharp pains?
Isn’t there any easier way?

My life flashes before me,
I once thought I was safe,
Remembering that happy place!
Why give me something so great just to take it all away?
