Another Day, ANother Face Pt.2

by Fierce   May 22, 2005

They beat until I can't bear
The twisted my head and pulled my hair
Why me, I make a strong plea
They just smiled and continued with glee

Nothing but silence fills the air
All alone, this feeling isn't rare
Pulling myself up to my feet
My heart is racing, skipping a beat

Struggling to survive in a world gone wrong
There's no one to run to, no where to belong
Staggering along the path to what I call home
Slowly but surely, I roam

Days go by, the bruises disappear
But the pain is still clear
I won't let them win
They will pay for their sin

Letting them see it doesn't effect me
I rise above, making them flee
They can't take guilt
On which my suffering, they built

Life goes on, making me stronger
It's going to take them much longer
To realize life is but a journey we must take
In order for us to learn from our mistake

And be rewarded for showing love
The kind from up above
From this I realized
To appreciate real love, first you must be despised

I hope whoever reads this find comfort in knowing that your time will come when you feel loved, accepted and appreciated. You just need to get through this to appreciate the real love that can be felt.

Please vote and comment. It would mean so much to me.
