The still black water;it's tempting;I might

The still black water;it's tempting;I might
turn around and it will all be the same
Struggle for eternity or end it tonight

From loneliest depths it begs for light
not knowing my presence will darken its fame
The still black water;it's tempting;I might

For too many a year caught up in this fight
knowing I've lost, but still playing the game
Struggle for eternity or end it tonight

The smooth surface ripples to a rythmic right
screaming for tyranny;screaming my name
The still black water;it's tempting;I might

Locked away more slave than wife
with the lashing belt I should be lame
Struggle for eternity or end it tonight

The placid lake sheds no sign of light
nor do I, with this unbareable pain
The still black water;it's tempting;I might
Struggle for eternity or end it tonight
