My New World

I want to thank you for the changes that have happened in my life since I met you.

I now experience life through eyes that see colors they never before knew existed.

I gaze at the sky with the wonder of a child because I’m seeing hues of blue that lift the soul

I look at the stars and can barely stand the brilliant glimmers that have to be Angels

I look at a redbird and see such dynamic reds that it can only be my heart shining through

I am experiencing everyday life with an exuberance and excitement that is unknown to me

I feel sadness that I hadn’t met you 25 years ago, but that sadness is quenched by thoughts of the next 25

I see stuff about wars and bad things in the world and I think to myself that if everyone could feel like I am at this moment; the world would be a paradise
