Everyday

by alysha   May 22, 2005

Everyday there are people fighting for us,
how do we thank them?
We give them our trust,
and we depend on them.

Everyday we sit here,
isn't there anything we can do?
We are like helpless deer,
and we look so blue.

Everyday a man or woman dies,
how do we remember them?
We are told so many lies,
like they can't find them.

Everyday they defeat others,
should they have been defeated?
Some could've been mothers,
it seems we are conceded.

Everyday a mother loses a child,
how do we show them we care?
The mother goes wild,
all we do is stare.

Everyday another war breaks out,
how do we prepare?
there have been so many wars that we've lost count,
some people don't even care!

Everyday there are people fighting for us,
how do we thank them?
We give them our trust,
and we depend on them.
