Dying Soul

by Krispie   May 22, 2005

She lies lifeless,
Barely breathing.
Her life is meaningless,
The pain is unending.
Once again she is asleep,
Nothing can get to her now.
The pain cannot seep
Into a soul that refuses to awaken.
She will rest forever,
If that is how long it will take
To forget the pain that severs
The unending torture taking place.
She opens her eyes
But only to realize nothing has changed.
Closing them quickly, she says her goodbyes
And there she awaits her turn to die.
