Heaven and Hell

by Lyudmila   May 23, 2005

Eternal peace,
Dreamlike state,
Entrance barred by golden gate.

Azure skies,
Shining light,
In this land there is no night.

Choirs of angels,
Garments white,
All within this place is bright.

Floating clouds,
Water pure,
Here souls forever will endure.

Ground divine,
Layers seven,
This world is known to most as Heaven.

Ashen skies,
Barren lands,
Endless mounds of shifting sands.

Burning flames,
Piercing screams,
Nothing here is what it seems.

Blood-red rivers,
Cries of pain,
This place comes after sinner’s bane.

Eternal torment,
Twisted deeds,
The fields are sown with Satan’s seeds.

Blackened pits,
Creatures fell,
This world is known to most as Hell.
