Sail Across my Stream of Tears

by Ð맆îñ¥   May 23, 2005

Can you see behind my curtain?
A winter’s whisper clouds me
Separates my soul
Can you see me? Make me whole

Hidden in the depths I’ve dug
Lying in waters long forgotten
Sunken by the rapids
And left on islands unforgiving

Sail across, mind each twist
Beware its tricksome trap
It’s luring you closer
But you’re drifting a far

Look at the delicate detail
The way it hangs around me
My circular shield
Too much love before

I am protected from my heart
But I want to break these chains
To follow my heart
Once again

Have you found the broken bridge?
Deserted long ago
It’s safe to cross to me
Then could you please free me

Mind the gates
Bar the door
But look beyond this curtain
I cannot step out
You must find me

I liked this poem. to me it sounded sort of mysterious, I'm not sure if that's what you were going for, but I liked it. On my With You poem, and girl commented that it sounded like I forced rhymes. I was wondering if you could show me some, if u think any r forced.
