Pain inside

Ive been crying so much
that my eyes have gone dry
i cant get another tear out
even if i tried

i cry because of my life
and all thats in my past
when will this pain end?
how long will it last?

my father doesn't know me
my brother doesn't give a damn
my mother, i don't live with
and my sisters are too young to understand

if it wasn't for my best friend
i surely would be dead
because i can't live without her
so I'd kill myself instead

i cut my wrists before
and i lived through the pain
and when that scar had vanished
i went and did it again

i sit up every night and cry
and wish i was someone else
someone who has a good life
and is happy with themself

people tell me it will pass
and i will want to live this life
but the question that i ask myself
is will i live till then without the knife?

i cut myself, then hide the scars
waiting for them to fade
but when it finally does go
i make another cut that day

when people ask if I'm alright
i nod and say I'm OK
but what they don't see is that
I'm falling apart a bit more each day

soon i will not be able to stand it
and really try to end it all
there is one last question i have to ask
will anyone be there to catch me when i fall?
