Another life

by Laurel S   May 24, 2005

Another life
another child filled with hate
another jacked up mother
and drunk father in "debate"

Another child crying in their room
wishing they could get rid of this
thinking if they were better
it would all go away, ignorence is bliss.

Another teenager turning to drugs
cutting themself, blaming everyone
they just wish they could live another life
actually have real fun

Another life
gone down the drain
wasted on nothing
but personal gain.

Another stone,
a forgoten soul
weakened by the pain
parents with hearts of coal

Another flower
by the stone
to let them know
they will never be alone

And yet another life
is punctured by this blade
no one wants to play the game of life
so away we will fade
into the darkest night...
