Another Faded Memory

by M J U   May 25, 2005

You can't hold on to something you never had.
So easy to slip through your fingers when you leave it untouched.
Reach out as I did try
though you may not grasp it at first.
If you give up easily
for sure it will be gone.
Searching for what might have been.
Is that fair to yourself or fair to another?
No!
That is why you must reach out and grab hold the first time.
For a loss like this is just another faded memory.
