Walls

by Staind Soul   May 25, 2005

Forced to hide behind the walls I have made
I walk another day without a pride
Just a broken shell that is waiting to fade
Drowning in an endless tide

I look to the past for happiness
But the faces I see they turn gray and blow away
And I’m left with sadness
So alone I walk another day

I look for refuge inside my head
But these walls have turned to my tomb
And in its place all I find is pain instead
So I sit in solitude and await my doom
