What really matters

by *emmax*   May 26, 2005

O this world in all its wonder consumes us with its deceitful promises
alluring us with visions of success and intriguing incense of power
man and woman together with boy and child forget one another

We pursue the wind thinking it is silver and gold which perishes away
diamonds are forever so such we desire, lusting after their beauty but then we forget that beauty is in the ones we love and enshrine
in this race to be recognized man looses himself in the ventures that cannot tell them how special they are like their grandmother does

Why do we forget what matters? why do we neglect the love of those around us?why do we continually reject the touch of the soul, the warmth of love that brings life?
just tell me why?
