Christ descended, O how He ascended

Christ descended
in the humble stable He did lay in His cradle
now our lives stable no more lying in lies

He brutalized brutality and fully captured captivity captive
insanity away He took for our sake
that no more of sin we be slaves
delivering us from the snare of the devilish snake

Now Christ ascended and gave gifts unto man
we walk in salvation so sweet
His blood shed He conquered death
from our lives the devil left and so peace we truly felt

like man of this world you He will never neglect
this His goodness let not man reject
with His love you He shall perfect
