Darkened Soul

by fred   May 27, 2005

Your soul is the death of me,
It’s twisted and black.
You took my soul away,
Just like my heart you stole.
I’m now an empty vessel,
I devoted my whole life to you.
Only to have it destroyed,
Chaos and destruction shall spread.
It is consuming the whole world,
Killing all the souls that live.
There is now nothing left for me,
I live alone in a demented world.
You where my greatest fear,
Now I wish you would come back.
I miss you so bad that I will join you,
You were my one true love.
But it is all over now,
I have nothing left to live for.
I shall slice myself to show I loved you,
The pain will remind me what we could have had.
Now I am the one with the black heart,
Or was it me from the start.

I liked this poem, but instead of using "where" you should use "were". That sounds much better. Besides that, very good poem. xX

very dark and vivid. I like the ending. Kinda like your blaming yourself. very well thought out. Great job on this. Keep up the good work.
