It's midnight
closed eyes, drowning in slumber
as i await the sunrise
but not today
today is not the same
it's darker than usual and I'm with you
I'm a little frightened
and you laugh at my jumpiness
but you let me take your arm
i felt to safe
you tried to scare me
then you made me laugh
still, i wished you'd never go away
the little twitches of the night nearly made my cry
but being lovely as you are
you led me by your side
we watched the scenery
and i felt so loved
but did you really mean it?
was any of this real?
