To my other half

by Behind Blue Eyes   May 27, 2005

To my second half,
my partner in crime,
the one I'll love forever,
until the end of time…

Finding this out was painful,
The fact that I could only be your friend.
By the time our relationship had started
It was already at the end.

Having you around me now
Hasn’t really changed much.
But when you stand beside me
I’m still craving for your soft touch

We act like nothing ever happened,
But I know we both think about it from time to time
How we were each others second half
And each others “partner in crime”

We had so much in common
And we noticed it from the start
Like what we did in our spare time
And how we dealt with what was in our heart

So again we’re just friends
But we still like to flirt
Like how you tickled me down to the ground
Because I stole your sweatshirt

But the reason I took it wasn’t for laughs
Or because I wanted your attention
But because having your sweatshirt was like having a part of you
Without some of the tension
