Life Breather

by Jacob Davis   Jun 1, 2005

You were always there,
through thick and thin,
Even when I lost my hair,
and I cherish those moments deep within.

You were always scolding us,
Showing how much you cared.
Afterwards, you were always holding us,
and from those moments,
we learned you'll always be there.

You pushed us through life,
fights and words of anger filling the air.
You helped us out of life's little ditches,
never leaving us stuck,
always giving us that loving, deep seeded stare.

We both realized that we are stuck with you,
there's no replacement for the real thing.
I'm glad it's you and no one else,
Because no other mother would teach us to be ourselves,
so as children, our heart's will always sing.
